Lenart’s municipal district heating system (DHS) consists of a woody biomass boiler and an oil boiler with a total installed capacity of 7 MW. The hot water network is currently about 5 km long and supplies about 7,400 MWh of thermal energy to 500 users annually, including individual households, multi-dwelling buildings and public buildings. With this system, the municipality now has safe, affordable and environmentally friendly supply of thermal energy.
